We are located in the metropolitan city of Walnut Creek in Northern California.
We opened our doors in 1933 by John T. Schroder Sr. here in Walnut Creek. At that time, of course, Walnut Creek was just a small rural time and we insured farms, ranches and small businesses. In 1950, Robert I. "Bob" Schroder, joined his father in the insurance business.
Bob has been an upstanding citizen of Walnut Creek. After graduating from Fresno State and working at Hartford Insurance Co., Rob held political positions in city council and mayor as well as serving on the Contra Costa county board of supervisors.Rob's son Robert S. "Bob" Schroder joined the firm in 1977 after graduating from UC Berkley and working with for Home Insurance. When John Sr. passed in 1982, Rob and his brother John T. "Ted" Schroder III split ownership in Schroder Insurance. In 2002, Rob bought out his brother's interest. The family business has continued to pass fro generation to generation, leaving Bob Schroder as the current President at Schroder Insurance Services.
